English + what they love.

What makes a summer genuinely memorable? For many teenagers, it is the chance to make progress in English while doing something they already love, discovering a new interest and making friends from around the world.

At More Than English, students create their own summer programme at Moor Park, near Ludlow. For 2027, we are introducing a new Tennis Academy, developing our Global Leadership course and offering a carefully planned choice of afternoon Pro Specialisms.

1. New for 2027: Tennis Academy

Our new Tennis Academy is a morning programme for experienced players aged 14–17 who want to take their game to the next level.

Led by our LTA Level 3-qualified coaches, the Academy combines technical training, fitness and competitive match play. Students develop their serve, groundstrokes, movement, shot selection and tactical awareness while training alongside British and international players.

It offers 15 hours of coaching per week, from 4 July to 1 August. Golf Academy continues as a morning option for experienced young golfers.

2. Global Leadership: ideas that make a difference

Our Global Leadership morning Subject brings together leadership, international relations, society, media and enterprise.

Through research, debate, persuasive speaking and practical team challenges, students learn to evaluate different perspectives, communicate their ideas and take responsibility. Enterprise now forms part of the wider Global Leadership programme, giving us the flexibility to explore fresh challenges each summer.

Global Leadership is offered throughout 4 July – 1 August and is designed for students aged 15–17 with English level B2–C2. English Language and Advanced English also continue throughout the summer.

3. More ways to combine English with what they love

Every student chooses a morning Subject or Sports Academy (15 hours) and an afternoon Pro Specialism (10 hours) each week. Students staying for several weeks can vary their choices, making room for different interests during the same summer.

For example, a student might choose English Language with Dance, Advanced English with Tennis, or Global Leadership with Karting School. Explore the full study programme.

4. A community, not a crowd

More Than English is a small international summer school where each student is known as an individual. British and international teenagers live, learn and spend time together on Moor Park’s 20-hectare campus, making friendships across nationalities and using English naturally throughout the day.

Our 1:4 staff-to-student ratio, personal care and on-campus presence of the school’s founders help students feel supported and confident. Beyond lessons, there are 20+ hours of activities and evening events and three excursions each week.

5. Summer 2027 dates and prices

Our residential summer school runs from 4 July to 1 August 2027, for students aged 12–17.

The residential fee is £1,885 per student per week. Students normally join for two, three or four weeks. One-week stays are available for arrivals on 18 or 25 July.

The fee includes 25 hours of tuition and coaching each week, accommodation, meals, activities, excursions, insurance and Heathrow transfers at our standard Sunday flight times. Only four course options have weekly supplements: Tennis Academy (£125), Golf Academy (£175), Karting School (£240) and Outdoor Leadership (£65).
